Thank you, I am new to all this I am trying to find my way around like everybody else. It has been a very distressing time for me. Work people are supportive. I am with the union but it is not easy initially because nothing can be very well planned in advance. I still have to learn alot about RA like you mentioned. Reading about other people's experiences is giving me more insight into my own feelings. Nras is a very good forum. I feel like at home here. with time I will be able to share more of my emotions, feelings and experiences.Confused

Hi Sajid,

Welcome to the forum, where you will never feel alone again with RA!
We all know exactly what you are going through and you can ask as many questions as you like on here, there is usually someone with an answer.
I am 61 and have had RA for almost 10 years, now on Humira and mtx.
Looking forward to getting to know you.

Doreen xx

Hello Sajid, and welcome to the forum.

Being diagnosed with RA is a real shock to the system, and it`s very frustrating waiting for meds to work well enough to bring the RA under control.

I was a teacher too, but took early retirement a few years ago now.

Take care,

Kathleen x

hi Sajid,

welcome to the Forum and there is no doubt being diagnosed is really hard to come to terms with ... i managed to lose over half a stone in a week with the stress of it all.

since joining the Forum i don't feel so alone and certainly now realise that drugs take time to work ... i was diagnosed in early June and still not under control yet.

hoping there is a slight breakthrough but will wait for next blood test,

i am currently on 20mg Methotrexate.

i'm 57 married with a grown up Daughter.

Hi Sajid. Welcome to the forum. I'm Sue - 58, although not for much longer! I'm also a teacher. There do seem to be a lot of us here. I'm on half term at the moment which has given me a much needed opportunity to rest. You will learn a lot here and get plenty of advice and support when you need it.
Take care
